About PinCountryMap
A free map maker for people who just need a clean, good-looking map, without an account, a watermark or a GIS course.
How it started
PinCountryMap began as a small page that did one job: put markers on a map, label them, and save the result as a sharp image. The idea was plain. Making a decent map should not mean signing up, installing software or paying to remove a logo.
It grew from there. You can now focus on a single country, highlight cities in their own colours, import a long list of places from Excel, and export a PNG that drops straight into a slide, a report or a website.
What you can do with it
- Switch between satellite, terrain and light map views.
- Add places by typing coordinates (decimal or degrees-minutes-seconds), pasting a list, or importing an Excel or CSV file.
- Style markers by shape, size, colour and category, and drag labels exactly where you want them.
- Add a legend, north arrow and scale bar, then download at standard, high or print quality.
- Save your work as a small project file and reopen it later.
What we stand for
Free and open to everyone. No login and no payment.
Private by design. Your coordinates and files are processed in your own browser. The privacy policy has the details.
Honest credits. Every export carries the credits for its map imagery and data, because the people who make those sources deserve it.
Fast. Speed is a feature. If something makes the tool feel slow, we treat it as a bug.
Who is behind it
PinCountryMap is made in Pakistan and is still being developed. Feedback decides what gets built next, so if something is missing or confusing, tell us.
Map data and credits
Base maps come from Esri and OpenStreetMap-based providers. Country boundaries come from Natural Earth, and city outlines from OpenStreetMap contributors. Each export lists the credits that apply to it, and the Credits page has the full list.
